Marion County Public Health is accepting diaper donations from residents to help serve families in Marion County.
Rachel Garner with Marion County Public Health tells KNIA/KRLS News that diapers are often one of the biggest expenses for new parents who are struggling to pay bills or put food on the table, and that diapers are often one of the first things cut which leads to stress on everyone in the household if the baby is not clean and happy.
Garner also said that changing a baby’s diapers leads to a deeper bond between caretaker and child, and having a clean baby helps to keep a healthy baby. Donations of any brand, size, or style are accepted at Marion County Public Health located at 2003 N. Lincoln Street, Knoxville.
