The Pella High School Class of 2018 earned scholarships and other honors as part of the Dollars for Scholars Awards Night Wednesday.
Students received financial aid for upcoming post-secondary education from numerous community donors. Soon-to-be graduates who completed the Distinguished Service Award also received their graduation cords. Over 42 seniors and 62 total students at the school completed over 5,000 hours of community service to earn the recognition. Since the program started, Pella graduates have completed over 16,000 volunteer hours in the area.
Dollars for Scholars has given more than 3,200 awards worth over $1.3 million in scholarships and grants to graduating seniors at Pella and Pella Christian High School since 2001. Pella Christian will host their senior awards night on Wednesday, May 16th.
