Both teams were strong in the pitcher’s circle in Thursday’s Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars softball contest,but it was the Saints that came out on top of their southern Marion County Rivals from Twin Cedars 3-1. Melcher-Dallas’s Emilie Krpan allowed just six hits to Twin Cedars surrendering just one run over seven innings, striking out nine and walking none. Grace Bailey took the loss for Twin Cedars, she went the distance allowing six hits and three runs while striking out three and walking one. Melcher-Dallas racked up six hits in the game with Kynser Reed and Haley Godfrey each with multiple hits for The Saints. Bailey led Twin Cedars with two hits in three at bats.
