It was a tough night for the PCM summer teams, as both the baseball and softball squads fell against Gilbert.
The softball team dropped a high scoring affair 16-8. The defense struggled to eight errors that led to all 16 runs being unearned. Kenzie Johnson and Regan Freland led the offensive attack each with a pair of hits. The Mustangs fall to 1-2 and get back on the diamond today traveling to Bondurant-Farrar for a tournament.
The baseball team could only muster up four hits in a 3-0 shutout. Derek Brown had a solid outing on the bump giving up one earned run on four hits in five innings of work. After the loss they fall to 3-2 and look for revenge Monday facing off with Nevada.
