Congressman Dave Loebsack says there is a lot of work to do when the U.S. House reconvenes next week.

Loebsack tells KNIA/KRLS News Congress has yet to find a long-term solution to budgeting, and wants to avoid the process of consistent government shutdowns and temporary spending bills. However, he feels the deep political divide between Democrats and Republicans, especially during an election year, will make the process difficult.

Loebsack was in the area this week, touring the Neal Smith Wildlife Refuge and answering questions from Pella Rotary.
