Five runs in the third blew open a close game and that led to the Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad sending everyone home early in a 10-0 win over Lamoni last night in five innings. Melcher-Dallas got things started in the first inning when Angel Beaty doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. In that third inning, the offensive onslaught came from singles by Anndee Clark and Kacey Enfield, a walk by Lilly Bennett, a triple by Beaty, and by Emilie Krpan. She also got the win pitching the shut out allowing three hits and striking out 13.
