Area baseball teams know the path they face in order to make it to the playoffs.
In Class 2A, Pleasantville has been afforded a first round bye and home field advantage through the end of the district bracket. The Trojans will play the winner of the Saturday, July 7th contest with PCM traveling to Colfax-Mingo in Class 2A District 12. The Trojans open in the second round on July 10th.
In District 11, Pella Christian makes the long trek to Mount Ayr to take on Clarke, Osceola in the opening round on July 7th. Hear the game live on our airwaves, with the station to be determined based on how the Class 4A softball teams (Knoxville, Pella) advance in their respective bracket. The winner between the Eagles and the Indians will travel to Centerville to take on the Big Reds.
In Class 1A District 12, Twin Cedars travels to Lynnville-Sully to take on North Mahaska, while in District 11, Melcher-Dallas goes to Southeast Warren to take on Central Decatur, as both games begin on July 10th.
Class 3A baseball playoff brackets are expected by the end of this week.
