Halfway into 2018, traffic fatalities in Iowa are up from this point in 2017.
Trooper Alex Dinkla tells KNIA/KRLS News 147 people have died on Iowa’s roadways this year. Dinkla says the goal for all Iowans should be to reduce that number to zero, by obeying all traffic laws and to never drink and drive or operate while distracted.
The Iowa State Patrol, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Pella Police Department, and numerous area agencies will have extra patrol on the roadways during the 4th of July holiday.
