The Pella Community School District is working to make their campus safer before the next school year begins.
Superintendent Greg Ebeling tells KNIA/KRLS News district administration is spending the summer improving protocols in all buildings. He says the latest round of construction projects created secure entry ways district-wide, but a law that passed the Iowa Legislature this past spring means more districts have to organize resources.
Ebeling says the full security measures for the Pella Community School District will be completed over the next year, with the goal of having a full plan to roll out one year from now.
