The Top 10 countdown continues for Pleasantville sports for 2017-18 with number eight.
This spring the Pleasantville boys’ track team enjoyed plenty of success at the Blue Oval in the state meet. The success of the sprint medley relay team may have came as a surprise however, as Pleasantville finished fourth in class 2A when the relay was put together in the final few weeks of the season. Head Coach Dillon Daniel tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he decided to throw a sprint medley team together and it paid off. “All season we haven’t really ran sprint med because of how competitive it is but I decided to throw a team together last minute and see how we do. They ran it in 1:35 at the district qualifying meet and it totally blew away my expectations.”
Gauge Van Haalen, Triston Mount, Thomas Ragan, and Hunter Tyree teamed up to run in 1:35.53 to finish fourth, the best finish for the Trojans at the meet.
