Applications are open for the Knoxville Leadership Academy, a free six-week course that gives city residents an opportunity to learn more about their city government.
Knoxville Assistant City Manager Heather Ussery tells KNIA/KRLS News the course aims to get residents more involved in city government and learn the inner workings of the city departments, understand some of the budget constraints, and be more informed about running for a potential city council seat.
