Brad Sweet etched his name in history and took away a $150,000 purse to claim the championship of the 58th annual 5-Hour Energy Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores Saturday night.
Sweet came out on top of a 90+ driver qualifying field, and survived 50 laps with Donny Schatz and Kyle Larson keeping pace the whole way. A reported attendance at the Knoxville Raceway was a sold-out 21,135. For a full recap of Saturday’s racing action, click on sports on the left of the page.
