A Harvey man charged with an attack on a teenage girl will receive probation, but no jail time, as part of the terms of his sentencing on Thursday.
Rylee Van De Boe appeared in Marion County Court and pleaded guilty to amended charges of assault with intent to commit serious injury, and first degree harassment.
He was arrested last October in the attack on a seventeen-year-old girl; the then-twenty-year-old Van De Boe reportedly carried out the attack after the victim went onto his property.
Van De Boe’s probation will last for two years; he will also have to take an anger management course, and pay restitution to the victim.
