Four area cross country teams competed in the Centerville Invitational on Tuesday. Melcher-Dallas’s J’Lyn Knutson did what she always does, win. She paced the field in 20:30, the Saints did not have a team score. Annaliese Adiraal paced Pella Christian with a fifth place finish in 21:49. Knoxville finished sixth as a team led by Emma Goemaat’s 28th finish in 23:56, and Twin Cedars’ Brooke Roby placed 52nd for the Sabers in 25:16. On the boys side, Knoxville placed sixth paced by Jordan Bacon in 27th place in a time of 19:12. Pella Christian placed seventh overall led by Lucas Bandstra in 14th place in a time of 18:27. Melcher-Dallas was unable to field a full team but that did not stop Emery Sage from a sixth place finish in 17:34.
