For the first time since 2012, the Pella High football takes the field tonight looking to bounce back after a district loss.

The Little Dutch are on the bubble of the class 3A playoff picture as they welcome Newton to town, but coach Jay McKinstrey says that they better worry about the Cardinals and not what’s out of their control in the postseason chase.

“Without tonight’s game and without winning tonight, we can forget about all of that RPI stuff and all of the playoff talk, because it’s not going to matter any more. What we can control is what we can control, and that’s what we need to focus on, and that’s tonight’s game.”

Kickoff is at 7:30 tonight at Pella High School. Trevor Castle and Randy Sikkema will call the action on the KRLS2 stream at www.kniakrls.com, with pregame beginning at 7:00.
