Knoxville and Pella Christian Volleyball Squads ended their regular seasons Saturday at the Panther Invitational. The Eagles were able to advance to the championship bracket with a 2-1 pool record by winning over A-D-M 21-15 and 21-12 and Albia 21-10 and 21-11. Pella Christian’s only loss in pool play was to tournament champion Bondurant-Farrar in two sets 21-11 and 21-10. The Eagles advanced to the championship bracket falling to Iowa Falls in the semi-finals 21-16 and 21-17. The Panthers went 1-2 in pool play winning over Perry 21-16 and 21-9 while losing to Iowa Falls in three sets and Union in two sets. The Panthers advanced to the consolation bracket where they swept Albia 21-17 and 21-15 then claimed fifth place over A-D-M with a two sets to one victory by scores of 21-17, 24-26 and 15-9. Knoxville finishes off regular season play at 17-14 while Pella Christian will enter the postseason at 18-17.
