Four years ago, three freshmen joined the Knoxville Girls Cross Country Squad and since then, numbers for the Panthers have gone up. From a total of seven girls out in that season, to over 20 this season, Coach Michael Splavec credits Emery Neer, Mickayla McGill, and Bree Burton for not only winning conference titles, but getting other runners to come out and be successful. Splavec adds with the mix of juniors coming back and a strong class from the middle school ranks, the girls cross country program at Knoxville will only get stronger.
