The Warren County and Indianola Hometown Pride programs have been active during the summer and fall months to accomplish their goal, complete projects that make a difference in their hometown, and boost community pride.
Lorin Ditzler with Warren County Hometown Pride tells KNIA News one idea the Indianola Hometown Pride group had was to help streamline communication between the volunteer groups that already existed in the community
“When we started our group, we realized that there were so many great organizations doing great things in Indianola. But we would sometimes talk to those people in those organizations and they expressed a wish to get all the groups together and talk to each other more, and work together so that if there are two groups with similar goals or want to combine for a project they can more easily support each other.”
Warren County is one of 10 counties across Iowa that are part of Hometown Pride. To learn more about the local Hometown Pride programs, tune in to today’s Let’s Talk Indianola.
