The annual Children’s Costume Party and Parade hosted by Indianola Parks and Rec will take place tomorrow on the Warren County Courthouse lawn.

The event will include fall activities such as hayrack rides, trick-or-treating around the square, and a photo booth among many others. Kathy Kester with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News there is also a costume contest and parade for man’s best friend

“We’ve got a doggy costume contest and parade as well, and people come up with some really creative costumes. I think one year there was a great dane in a pink tutu, and she was a really beautiful ballerina and won first place. You’ll want to register right away at 10am because judging begins at 10:15, and we’ve got some wonderful prizes from our area vet clinics so Saturday is a lot of fun is had for both the kids and the dogs.”

The Children’s Costume Party and Parade takes place this Saturday from 10-noon.
