Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg made a campaign stop at the Indianola Pizza Ranch Wednesday morning, joined by Iowa candidate for Treasurer Jeremy Davis, incumbent Auditor Mary Mosiman, and Iowa Senator Joni Ernst.
The candidates talked with supporters and local candidates about the importance of voting for every government position, voter ID laws, tax cuts, and transparency in government. Reynolds tells KNIA News one constant she has heard from voters on the campaign trail is enthusiasm about the recent tax cuts.
“We’re seeing great turnouts and motivation, and people know that those dollars count. They appreciate that they are seeing more money in their paycheck, they appreciate the fact that we have seen three straight quarters of wage growth, that we’re lowering taxes and growing the economy. That’s all positive news for Iowa and for Iowans.”
Reynolds is running against Democrat Fred Hubbell and Libertarian Jake Porter in the current election, with Mosiman running against Democrat Rob Sand, and Davis running against incumbent Michael Fitzgerald.
