Warren County Public Health wants to remind residents to get their flu shots with the colder temperatures on the way.

Public Health Director Jodene DeVault tells KNIA News there is plenty of information on how to get one if you aren’t sure what to do

“The flu shot is available in our community everywhere, from pharmacies, to your doctor, or here at public health. If you have questions, you can always call or email public health and we will do our best to let you know what you need to do. But if you are going to get it, you should get it now. It takes 3-6 weeks for build up immunity, and you would like to have it before the family gatherings of the holiday season.”

In addition to the flu shot, residents are reminded about the 3 C’s: cover your cough, clean your hands, and contain germs by staying home when ill.
