The Warren County Democrats also hosted local and statewide candidates for their last push before election day yesterday.

The candidates and officials attending included State Auditor Candidate Rob Sand, State Senator Janet Petersen, and Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price. Warren County Democratic Party Chair David Bettsworth tells KNIA News months of preparation have come down to this

“We are at the end of GOTV (Get Out The Vote) weekend, which is Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and election day. It’s all about getting as many people as possible to get out and knock on doors and make phone calls to get as many people to the polls, specifically get the Democrats out to the polls.”

Bettsworth also said that he has seen a lot of community engagement for this election, and that he wants to thank his volunteers for helping out.
