Today is an official day of mourning across the country in memory of President George H.W. Bush, who passed away this weekend at the age of 94.

In tribute to him, most federal offices and agencies in Washington will be shut down; this will include post offices, which means no general mail delivery…although some limited package deliveries will still be performed.

One federal agency remaining in operation is the Veterans Administration Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Knoxville.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds on Saturday ordered all flags in the state to be flown at half-staff for 30 days in honor of Bush. Flags nationwide will also be flown at half-staff.

Stock markets including the New York Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ will be shut down for the day as well.
