The South Central Iowa Solid Waste Agency poster contest winners have been announced.

All 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students from Lucas, Marion, Monroe and Poweshiek Counties were invited to submit a poster illustrating “Less Bags, More Bugs.” Grand Prize winner Emma Smith, a student at Lincoln Elementary in Pella, will be featured on the cover of the 2019 SCISWA Calendar and receive $100, art supplies, and a field trip for Mrs. Dixson’s 3rd grade class to either Blank Park Zoo or Reiman Gardens. Prizes and calendars will be distributed to students this month.
