The Pella boys golf team continues their preparations for the Class 3A State Golf Tournament which begins tomorrow.

After missing out on state last year, the Little Dutch are headed back for their 11th state tournament in the past 13 years. The 3A tournament is played at The Harvester Golf Course in Ames and Pella Coach Gifford Graham says they’re hoping this year to tame the course so to speak as it has not been friendly to them in the past.

Pella’s top four all year have been Lucas Boyd, who led them in the Sectional and District meet, Ben Fessler, Andy Vanderbroek and Conner Kelderman and Graham says they all four have to play very well for Pella to be in the mix as a team. The 3A State Tournament tees off at noon tomorrow and wraps up on Saturday.
