The Knoxville City Council will see three new officers added to the ranks of the police department during its meeting on Monday night.

Three new recruits will be officially sworn in, and then go to the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy for training. Amber Santoro, Brandon Hills and Sam Dykstra will return to Knoxville upon completion of their courses for further field training; they should be ready for full street duty by August.

Also on Monday night’s agenda is a proposal from Snyder and Associates for the Weiler Drive RISE grant application.

The meeting convenes at 6:15 p.m. and can be heard live on AM 1320/FM 94.3/FM 95.3 KNIA.
