A Knoxville man has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a minor, reportedly occurring over the course of several years.

Forty-four-year-old Steven Johnson was taken into custody on Wednesday; he had reportedly been abusing the victim beginning at age 11 or 12, and continued until recently.

Police say Johnson admitted to a witness that he had had sex with the victim.

He was ordered held on $50,000 bond.
