Pella Christian High School is celebrating homecoming next week.

Unlike most schools, the program did not have a football team until the past 15 years, so alumni instead gathered in the winter during basketball season, a tradition that has continued. On Friday, the school will hold chapel and then homecoming activities from 1-3 p.m. in the gymnasium, with the public welcome to attend. The 2019 Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned as well. The evening concludes with Friday’s basketball games against Dallas-Center Grimes, with the court presented between the girls and boys doubleheader. Those games, including the ceremony, can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
