For the second straight night, the Pella High basketball teams both led from start to finish in a Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheader sweep.
In front of their home fans on Saturday, the Lady Dutch beat Newton 63-26, while the Little Dutch won 76-57.
Pella’s girls got 16 points from Madison Naig, 13 from Emily Holterhaus and 9 each from Madison Parks and Bailey Van Voorst. They’re now 13-5 overall and 8-3 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
Nick De Jong had a career night for the Pella boys, scoring 27 points in a dominating performance in the post. Ryan Gustafson and John Oltman were also in double figures, with 12 and 10 points, respectively. The Little Dutch are 13-4 on the year and 8-3 in the LHC.
Both Pella teams return to action Tuesday night, hitting the road to play at Dallas Center-Grimes.
