Dense fog will continue today through the late morning throughout most of the region as temperatures top out about 50 degrees.
The predicted high in that 50 degree range completes a nearly 75 degree swing from the week’s coldest mark of 24 below on Wednesday morning, which was a record amount.
Light rain and drizzle is possible tonight, with some of it possibly freezing a very thin layer of ice early Monday morning as temperatures begin to dip, primarily north of I-80. The best chance for freezing precipitation in south central Iowa is Tuesday afternoon into the overnight.
