A man in Knoxville has been arrested and charged with a second sex offender registration violation.
26-year-old Robert Michael Jeffrey Jupp was taken into custody on Thursday by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office; he had previously been charged with a violation, and earlier this week his probation officer reported Jupp did not show up for his January appointment and did not call to reschedule.
Jupp is a Canadian citizen, and also has a federal probation officer who told Marion County Rupp had been fired from his job, was not living at his approved address and had no working phone number — all of which are conditions of his probation.
Jupp’s first violation reportedly happened last February, when a Knoxville police officer pulled him over on a traffic stop and found he was driving a vehicle which he had not registered with the state.
