With about a week to go before opening night, the cast and crew of Knoxville High School’s musical believe it’s all coming together.

“The Little Shop of Horrors” will run from March 1st through 3rd at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center; director Heidi Feldman tells KNIA/KRLS News the cast has gotten sharper as the performance nights approach, in spite of the disruptions to the school schedule.

“Even given the weather, and we’ve had some cancelled practices and that kind of stuff with the very unorthodox winter that we’ve had here, we’re in really good shape. These kids have been working their tails off; our creative team has been here late, working, trying to make things look and sound great, and make everything as beautiful as possible at this point,” Feldman says.

The musical features Lane Franck and Taryn Johnson in the key roles of Seymour and Audrey, while Asa Leonard will play Mr. Mushnick and Cade McDonald will be Dr. Orin Scrivello.

Performances will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1st and Saturday, March 2nd with a matinee on Sunday, March 3rd at 2:00 p.m.
