Just a few spots are left for the Young Professionals of Knoxville yoga and social event next Thursday evening; and the organization hopes this will provide an opportunity for them to fill their ranks with potential members.

The organization is offering an evening of yoga at Peace Tree Brewing starting at 6:30; then at 7:15, participants will be invited into the taproom to meet and network with each other.

The Young Professionals offer such events once every couple of months or so, to encourage business people to join and get to know the community better.

Dave Machovsky from the Young Professionals tells KNIA/KRLS News such events make being part of Knoxville life more appealing for people just starting out and looking for a place to live or work.

“Basically, we just kind of collaborate with the businesses as well; so you get businesses involved, you get us involved and you try to get…talented individuals to come to Knoxville,” Machovsky says.

“Seems like everyone wants to go to Des Moines; but if you’re going to have people come to Knoxville, it kinds of gets more people to kind of do things here in town, stay here in town and also live here in town. So it kind of boosts our economy, and I think it works well for everybody.”

Machovsky says they look for young and highly-motivated individuals who like what Knoxville has to offer and want to see the town succeed.
