A sophomore and two freshman averaged double figures scoring to lead the Indianola girls basketball team this season, as Kendall Clatt, Lauren Blake, and Mara Bishop scored 11.1, 11, and 10.4 points per game respectively, leaving the program in solid shape moving forward. The Indians were on the heels of a soft reset to the program, with the starting five from 2017-18 all leaving, and only three seniors coming back with little to no varsity experience. The underclassmen answered the call however, with the previous trio plus junior Bailey Blake, sophomore Alley May, and freshman Emma Kluver, Kinzey Johnston, and Trysta Hawkins all receiving significant playing time. The Indians finished the season with a 9-11 record.
