The Marion County Public Health Department is teaming up with a state Medicare organization to provide classes on how to manage diabetes.
Telligen is the Medicare quality improvement organization for Iowa; they will help provide the course to eligible Medicare patients on Mondays beginning March 4th.
The program runs for six weeks, and will be held each Monday from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Public Health Department’s training room in Knoxville.
It will cover topics such as medication, nutrition and foot and eye care. There is no charge for the class; anyone interested in signing up can call 641-828-2238.
