While having offensive weapons is always a plus to any basketball team, the guys that are willing to do the “little things” to make a team successful could be regarded as just as important. PCM’s Jason Stafford was just that for the Mustangs this season and was a key cog to a solid offensive attack.
The junior finished with 87 assists that ranks second in the Heart of Iowa Conference, collected 71 rebounds, 18 steals, and had 6.5 points a night. Head Coach Fred Lorensen tells KRLS Sports Stafford’s game goes way beyond the stat sheet.
“Even more important than what he is capable of on the floor is he is a great communicator. He is good at lifting up all of our players He does all of the little things you want out of a player.”
Stafford helped the Mustangs to a 13-8 season.
