The season for the Pleasantville wrestling team came to a close last week at Wells Fargo Arena and plans are now in place on how to improve in the offseason.
While head coach Heath Deforest wants to see returners get on the mat in the coming months, he tells KNIA Sports going out for a variety of sports is critical to the development of his athletes.
“I am a multi-sport coach myself so I love when kids go out for a number of sports. When they are competing they are training regardless of the sport they are in. Training with their teammates goes a long way.”
The Trojans bid farewell to three seniors from this year’s team.
