The Well Eatery, a new meal program open to the community, will now be open Monday through Friday serving at The Well in Pella. The Well Eatery will be serving meals catered in daily, starting at 11:30 AM, with a goal to create intergenerational community and the opportunity for fellowship over a meal. They invite anyone to reserve a meal at The Well, costing $7 per meal or $5 for those 60 years or older. While The Well has provided meals through Marion County Public Health in Knoxville for seniors, Marion County Public Health has made adjustments to their delivery system, and so is The Well. While the meals will no longer come from Knoxville, The Well will still be offering meals each weekday through the new meal service. Participants age 60 or over may still qualify for subsidized meals through Marion County Public Health. The Well Eatery will be offering punch cards for purchase, as well as taking cash for those who wish to purchase meals day-to-day. A reservation must be placed by 1 PM the working day prior to the day a person would plan to eat. If school is cancelled, The Well Eatery will be closed.
