The 2019 track season officially commenced on Monday and fans got their first look at the Pleasantville girls’ track team, as they traveled to UNI to compete in the Dickinson Relays.
The Trojans were competing in a handful of events in the jam-packed field. Kasey Pelzer had the best finish on the day placing 37th in the 60m dash with a time of 8.54 seconds. Pelzer also was effective in the long jump finishing in 42nd place with a leap of 14’9’’. Other top performers included the 4x800m relay team finishing 49th, Rae Speicher 72nd in the 60m dash, Madison Orewiler 76th in the shot put, and Riley Thill 122nd in the 400m dash.
