Whitebreast Creek Flooding on G-76 in 2015
An update to the 2019 Spring Flood Outlook didn’t show much difference from the initial report released in February by the National Weather Service. Senior Hydrologist Jeff Zogg says the risk for flooding is above average for all of central Iowa as snow pack and soil moisture both remain high in the region. Zogg says an above average spring in terms of precipitation would only increase the risk of flooding, especially as snow melts in the area.
