A flood warning has been issued for Warren County until 10:15am Friday, while heavy winds continue to affect the area leading to a wind advisory in place for much of south central Iowa until 10pm this evening. According to the National Weather Service, over 1.2” of rain fell in Indianola earlier this week leading to flood warnings being issued as the Middle River north of Indianola rose above flood stage Wednesday afternoon. Knoxville and Marion County avoided heavy rainfall, but will still see wind gusts of up to 40mph. The area continues to suffer from closures around the county due to water-covered roads, a full list of road closures for both Marion and Warren Counties can be found below.
