The Pleasantville girls’ track team is competing in a couple of indoor meets to get ready for the season.
The Trojans traveled to Cedar Falls last week and head to Ames next week. Head Coach Aaron Fichter tells KNIA Sports not being able to get outside and on a track makes these meets important in seeing where everyone is at early in the year.
“From an approach standpoint just getting on a track is big. Just getting kids in their type of events whether its hurdles, passing the baton, or distance events it is good practice for them.”
The Trojans travel to Iowa State University for another indoor meet on Monday.
