Despite the demolition of the old Warren County Courthouse and the construction of the new Justice Center being built on the downtown Indianola square this summer, the City of Indianola plans on business as usual for square activities this summer. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the city is willing to work with businesses despite the constraints
“As long as we know about it, we can plan around it. One of the things we have shared with our civic partners, and those that conduct events on the square, is the square is open. There’s gonna be construction on the interior of the square, we all know that, we know what it’s gonna look like, so let’s just plan around it.”
The Indianola City Council recently approved permits for bike nights, and an outdoor patio for the Brickhouse Tavern, both of which take place on the square.
