The Indianola boys and girls track and field teams stayed in Indianola to compete at Simpson College Tuesday, garnering several top finishes. On the boys side, Brock Elbert paced the field in the 3200m finishing in first place with a time of 10:40.00. Tryce Kirgan placed 6th in the long jump and 5th in the 100m, Matt McKnight placed 4th in the high jump, Carter Erickson 7th in the 110m hurdles and 5th in the 400m hurdles, Wyatt Woodruff 5th in the 200m, Eric Baldus 6th in the 1600, finishing 5th were the 4×100 relay, shuttle hurdle, 4×200, sprint medley, the distance medley placed 3rd, 4×400 finished 4th, and 4×800 6th.
For the girls, Alivia Bauer, Kassie Baker, and Macie Mays set the tone on the day placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively in the discus. Averie Hilton placed 4th in the long jump, Mays and Grace Jackson finished 5th/6th in the shot put, Patricia Steinfeldt 3rd in the 100m, Rayna Sickels in the 100m hurdles placed 3rd, Jadyn Forbes finished 3rd in the 800m, and Ashley Rockhold placed 6th in the 3000m. As for the relay teams, shuttle hurdle placed 5th, 4×100 4th, 4×200 4th, spring medley 4th, and 4×400 3rd.
