The City of Pella is hosting spring cleanup week April 1st through the 5th. According to the Pella Public Works Department, the event is a means for Pella residential customers to conveniently dispose of bulky waste items that do not fit inside a garbage tote. Participation is limited to those who have been issued a City of Pella authorized container. Although most household bulky waste items may be set out for collection, certain items will not be picked up including, but not limited to appliances and electronics. Pick-up of items will take place on a resident’s normal garbage/recycling collection day only, and acceptable waste should be placed at curbside no later than 7:00 a.m. at least four feet from their garbage tote.
