MidAmerican Energy says power has been restored to about 1,500 customers in Knoxville after an outage which lasted about two and a half hours on Monday.
The company says an insulator on a pole burned out, cutting off electricity to these customers; crews had to come in and replace the part in order to bring the power back on line.
The power went out at about 11:00 a.m. All but 97 customers had their electricity restored by 12:45; the rest were back on by 1:15 p.m.
