The Simpson Storm softball team came through with a huge American Rivers Conference sweep on Tuesday, taking down Nebraska Wesleyan 8-2 and 2-0. In game one, both squads couldn’t find much offense and it took extra innings to finish the contest, after the Storm scored twice in the 8th inning to take the lead, and survived a bases-loaded scoring attempt by the Prairie Wolves to hold on. In game two, the bats were hot for the Storm, as they put up a five run fifth inning, while Megan Crockett also mashed a homer in the contest. The Storm are now 3-6 in conference play, and 16-13 overall.
