There could be a lot of precious medals brought back to Melcher-Dallas from the Bluegrass Conference Track and Field Meet this Tuesday in Lamoni. For the girls, J’Lyn Knutson is the overwhelming favorite to sweep the distance events while two Saints are ranked number one in their field events with Grace Overgaard ranked number one in the BGC in the shot put and DoraMae Bennett has the farthest long jump in the conference. The Saints also have the best 1600 medley relay time by nearly 30 seconds and they also are contenders for the 4×400. For the boys, Emery Sage is favored to take the 1600, and Ethan Harrington has the top high jump mark in the conference, plus the Saints are also contenders for the 4×800 and the 1600 medley relay. The Bluegrass Conference is Tuesday at four.
