There will be several activities at the Pella Opera House during the 84th annual Tulip Time. The Reluctant Pioneer, a one-woman show about Maria Scholte, returns daily during Tulip TIme at 10 a.m. Their Martini Huis and Pop Shop open with a variety of drinks at 1 p.m., with livestreams of the parades in the Great Hall. After fireworks Friday night, Mondeau Dukes will have live music until midnight. On Thursday, the Tombstone Trials Radio Play shows at 11 a.m. and Davis Folkerts performs on the Barton Theatre Organ after that afternoon parade. On Friday, the 52nd Street Band performs the music of Billy Joel at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., and Central College’s Flying Pans Steel Drum Band performs twice on Saturday. Access to Great Hall events and first floor restrooms is available with the purchase of a daily wristband. During Tulip Time, wristbands cost $5 per day or $15 for all three days, and $9 before Thursday.
