Additional rounds of heavy rain are possible today after widespread rainfall fell overnight Sunday into Monday. Rainfall amounts between .75” to 1.5” fell throughout south central Iowa, with an additional ½ to 1 ½ inches possible by Wednesday morning. Localized flooding is possible, especially in low lying areas and those saturated by this weekend’s rain. Better news is coming for the forecast for Tulip Time; after a slight chance of showers early Thursday, conditions are expected to stay dry with highs in the mid 60s Thursday and Friday and temperatures topping 70 by Saturday afternoon.
